I'm new to this modding, where do I start?

So I've always played on 360 and just got the PC version of 2k14. I'm trying to add a cyberface I downloaded to my player.

I was watching one of the tuts on youtube, and it says to open my "Mycareer.cmg" file, but I can't find that ANYWHERE on my computer. Do I need to do anything special before opening that through the roster editor?

Is there like a "getting started" post or tut anywhere? Help is greatly appreciated.

Your MyCareer file may be named differently. It defaults to MyCareer1.cmg. You can't edit this file yet. Vl@d is working on his roster editor, RedMC. You will have to pay for the ability to edit cmg files. You can modify your MyCareer by using a trainer or Cheat Engine. You can add SP or increase your attributes. Youtube has a few videos explaining how. Search for skill points hack. The 2014 releases section on this forum has Cheat Engine tables posted.

YaoSming has tutorials in the tutorial section. I suggest you and everybody else use JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler to add all mods including cyberfaces. Look in the 2014 releases section for the JSGME post.

cmg files are in your 'saves' folder. C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\2K Sports\NBA 2K14\Saves for Win7.

I don't have a folder like the extension you described. I see C:\Users\UpdatusUser\AppData\Roaming but then there's no 2k folder in that AppData folder.
