Slider Help?

Postby StormsWarning on Wed Oct 09, 2013 10:39 pm

Hi for nba2k14, how can you break down sliders, in terms of what they mean, i've heard for example, lowering free throw down to 0 makes it easier, opposed to making it all 100? when do you know the high/low ratio ? i did a test and i found for example putting the help defense down to 0 for user you have less gaps between your defense switching off.

that was a huge downfall for me, since i like to play my own defense vs the cpu, but i found the transition even when switching to another defender, was always left wide open, until i put it on 0, but when raised back to 100, it had those huge gaps.

im trying to build my sliders first, then i'll work on each playoff set 7 coach sliders, i ran 1 game, where i had jwilliams sliders as a base (ty for those bro), and with a few tweaks, i had a great game spurs vs heat, game was great, final was 97-90 heat, i was spurs, they exactly shut me down within the last 4 minutes of the game, i'm doing more test, but i really need this help of the high vs low ratio of sliders in general in this game.

Moved from Patching Help & Requests, as this a general gameplay issue rather than a patch request or request for help in modding.

Year in year out a slider setting or two tends to work backwards so it's a matter of finding it out by the 'community'.
Unless you're talking about the FT Difficulty setting then it works fine as it should.

Slider settings for the User does apply to the user's cpu teammates or any team with a user playing (user vs user game), while the CPU slider settings is for the opponent CPU.

Help defense is one of those sliders that apply to your CPU teammates. Based on your testing help defense slider works as it should too. Zero help defense means defenders will mostly stick with their own man that's why you see less gaps on D, disadvantage is late defensive rotations or none at all when a player is open.

Wanna try the set I have posted? Should be a good base to start with, i.e. if you want to adjust to your heart's content.
