It's probably since you called Sjolderbrand a nazy... ;) j/k
On a more serious note it is probably your Video card, wince the rest of your components are stellar.
It's a laptop, right?
If you look at this chart you'll see that your GPU is relatively weak:

You can however try and update your video drivers, it might help.
Good luck!

Seriously. my graphics calculator has a better graphics card than that. If you play anything other than mine sweeper, I strongly suggest you invest in a video card from Newegg that is +$100. Look here:

When your running the benchmark, make sure V-Sync is off- Unfortunately it's a bug in the benchmark from last year that hasn't been fixed.

If V-Sync is on, the benchmark will report around 45fps even though it's actually locked at 60fps (you can run fraps at the same time to prove this)

Turn V-Sync off, run the benchmark, it should give you an accurate result and then turn v-sync back on after that.

He's got bigger problems than V-sync. He's got a Power Wheels engine in a Mercedes body. Until you replace that with a decent video card, you won't get anywhere near playable graphics, even if you turn all the detail and resolution to the lowest setting.

A lot of non-PC gamers don't understand that; they go out and buy a computer from Dell or Staples expecting it to run games brilliantly. All the big name computer makers give you the crappiest video card available to save money - most people who only use their machines for work won't appreciate the difference between a $10 video card vs a $500 one. In fact, there is no difference when you're using your machine for work or web browsing. Just pay $100+, get a decent card and you'll be running everything fine.

Hold on a second. I can only assume that is a laptop. Your i5 processor should have intel HD graphics. It's possible that the game is using that to try and render the game, which will be slower than your dedicated card. Check your CCC(catalyst control center). It should have an option that allows you to allocate which applications use the gpu instead of the intel hd graphics. I wouldn't recommend disabling intel graphics in the bios because it helps with your laptops battery life by disabling the gpu when just using your desktop.

I don't think it will be an amazing turnaround as far as performance, but it should help a little bit.

Oooh, I didn't consider that. If the OP is using a laptop, then you're "S* out of luck. " 95% of laptops are not designed or meant to play games.

It's not a laptop. The i5-3470 is a Desktop Quad-Core CPU. Every other component is good enough or great. 4.1GB of RAM does sound a little low for today's standard though. But because this is a desktop than the GPU can be upgraded.
