JSGME Question

Wed Oct 02, 2013 2:04 pm

Im hoping someone can help me figure this out.. pls dont be tough on me if this may seem common sense.. because its not to me and its confusing for me actually..

I just bought 2k14.. and i bought it thru steam..

The only other pc game i have other than that is 2k12 which i have the disc version

Ok so my thing is i have the generic mod enabler and its all set for 2k12..

its target is C:\Program Files\2k Sports\NBA 2k12\MODS

So now with 2k14 how do i can i do this?? How can i use JSGME for 2 games in different locations??

i think you have to install another instance of jsgme specifically for that folder

You need to create a new shortcut for 2014. I'll use 2013 as an example. I have shortcuts for each game on my desktop but you can have them wherever you like. All shortcuts point to the JSGME install folder. You can copy an old shortcut and modify it. Right click on the shortcut and select properties. The target folder is where JSGME is installed.
Target folder = "G:\Editing\Tools\Generic Mod Enabler\JSGME.exe"
Start In is where the mods are.
Start In = "E:\Sports\NBA 2K13" Change NBA 2K13 to NBA 2K14 (if that's what your folder is named)
JSGME will create the MODS folder when first started.

Some of you just dump everything you install in to your C: drive, that's OK. I prefer to organize my hard drives. So your folders and drive will be different than mine.

Everybody should use JSGME to avoid overwriting original files and it's great for testing mods and it can help determine any causes of crashes if you try a suspect mod.
