Custom Commentary Guys?

I once offered a mod to do a custom commentary since we can edit lines.bin, players.bin, etc. Why do you think no one mods this and do you think we need one? Hoping for a response guys. Thanks.

Wut? On the first time I got my hands on Audio Editor by Leftos, I opened lines.bin, players.bin... EVERY BIN file. The bin files contains the chopped commentaries per sentence usually. So you thought that the audio editor cannot open other files except from jukebox.bin? Then I should make a tutorial.

You're talking about thousands and thousands and thousands of files, I've gotta imagine. I mean I think it'd be awesome to have, but I can only imagine the undertaking.

I assume you already tried opening lines.bin, lines_ps.bin, lines_cs.bin and lines_ts.bin using Leftos' Audio Editor. So yeah, it's really HUUUGE. Tried Hex Editor if it can list the words being mentioned just like the names of animations in nbaanims.iff (?), but no result.

HOWEVER, it tells us two things:

1. IT IS POSSIBLE.
2. IT IS NOT AFAIK.

ONE MORE THING: After saying that editing commentaries is afaik, that statement is really NICE of you, REALLY REALLY NICE

We all know that commentary can be edited but you would not be able overwrite a specific piece of commentary. The custom commentary would play randomly and not fit together because we have no way of organizing the recorded lines.
If you know a way then at least show us some custom commentary videos or link a file with your custom commentary.

Actually I can say that I already discontinued this one. I had 2K14 uninstalled in my PC for about a month.

It's very possible to create a whole new commentary! I messed with it and recorded my voice on there on a few lines and was saying the exact thing Clark Kevin and Kerr was saying. Only thing is you have to have no life to complete this lol. There's tons of lines there!

I think you mean sample. Anyway, it will be relatively easy for you to do this if you know how to use Leftos' NBA 2K Audio Editor. Just replace the audio in lines.bin, players.bin, coaches.bin, teams.bin, etc.
