2k14 Won't Load Past Lebron Splash Screen

I recently did a clean re-install via Steam for 2k14. The intro video loaded and the Lebron splash screen loaded, but when I hit enter, the "press enter" graphic disappears but it doesn't progress to the updating graphic or the quick play screen. I've tried turning off antivirus programs and 2k13 works fine. Any ideas on what I can do?
