Out of range when starting NBA 2k14

Hi guys,

Yesterday, I tinkered the video settings to a higher resolution than my monitor can display and it gave me the out of range error message but then it automatically reverts back to the original settings after a few seconds. However I tried to open NBA2k14 again today, the dreaded out of range is displayed right after starting it. How can I revert back to the playable resolution?
