Game Crashes in Slam Dunk Contest!

Help Guys! It's my sixth season in MyCareer in NBA 2K14 PC. I've been doing the Slam Dunk contest four times already since my sophomore year. But this year it keeps on crashing everytime the first round ends. I can't move on with my season because it crashes. If I try to skip the All Stars, it still makes me play it. And it crashes after.
Anything that can help me? Can I find a program where it could simulate and skip past any game in MyCareer? Or do I have to restart it? Please help me. This has been my problem for three days now and I can't move past it.
