Creating a Player to get 10 APG

On 2k14 my friend and I have play an association where we do a fantasy draft and sim the season and play only one game per season. Eventually we create our own player but I can never get my guy to get 10 assists per game while we sim all but play only one game, are there any tips to getting my guy to achieve this feat of 10 assists per game?
