Stupid CPU assist

Postby JWL3 on Wed Oct 16, 2013 11:37 am

Can anyone confirm that cpu assist is alive and well in this game? For 2k13 and 2k12 too. It seems that no matter how hard I try, I cannot blow out a team on starter or all star mode. Every time I'm about to put distance between us, the CPU hits some shots they should have no business hitting, gets steals and rebounds they should not get. Same when I'm on the losing end - I can start chucking shots when I'm down and it will go in. It is beyond annoying, especially since there is no way to turn it off. CPU assist makes this game feel like I'm watching it, not playing it.

It means you should play on the difficulty level below starter.

Thanks, that's very helpful.

It doesn't matter which level I'm on, cpu assist feels like it's on at all times. CPU assist and hot/cold streaks make this game feel like I have zero control. One time when I was on a cold streak, D Rose missed a wide-open breakaway dunk with no one within 20 feet of him. I almost put my foot through the monitor at that point.

If the opponent is on a hot streak, call a timeout. Unless they have a player that has a sig skill of remaining hot even through timeouts.
