UV Mapping Problems: Blender Export/NBA2KX Mod Tool Import

Sat Dec 21, 2013 8:51 am

Has anyone experienced the problem I'm having in which a 3D model can be edited or created in Blender and the model as well as UV map appears correctly in Blender, however, in between either exporting the n2km out of Blender or importing the n2km into a .iff file the 3d model becomes distorted and appears messed up in-game. When looking at the UV map in NBA2KX mod tool you can see the UV map is all screwed up which in turn leads to the 3D model appearing as such in game. Is there a fix and or workaround for this allowing you to import 3D models correctly with proper UV maps? I'm confused in particular because I can make one edit (in this case making arm sleeves longer) and the right will import and appear perfectly however the left arm is messed up. I've even just copied the right arm and mirrored it to ensure the same UV mapping and 3D model yet it's messed up. I know this is somewhat of an advanced question but I figured I'd ask as I'm unsure which way to go with this. Does it require separate editing in another program? Hex editing? Or is there just no solution due to limitations within the coding of 2k? Hope someone can shed some light on this situation for me.
