Fastbreak Forced Slowdown

Hi guys
Question
Any of you had that thing that happens when u're cherry picking on a fast break and your teammates pass you the ball... you hit like an invisible wall and stop or maybe even back up a little bit to grab the incoming ball stopping your momentum and almost certainly getting caught by arriving defenders? Its annoying as f*ck.
Another animation thats bullsh*t its the rebound off an oponent. Like you are chasing someone on a cpu fastbreak and if you get too close you get sent back like in a wierd way. I dunno.
Another Question
Do you guys know how to call for a screen when off the ball? I read about it and they say press Y, I checked the control settings and yes, it is Y. But it's not doing anything.
