Kelly Olynyk's HAIR? WTH?!?

Has anybody noticed something weird about Kelly Olynyk's hair... this should probably be under bugs & glitches thread maybe, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't just me. If you play as the Celtics at home, Kelly's hair is the dirty blonde hair that it should be... but if you play an away game with the Celtics, his hair is really dark--basically black. Can you guys check that out and see if you are seeing the same thing. Its driving me nuts and I have no idea how that could be fixed. Thanks in advance!

It sucks... I haven't noticed it with any other players, but I'm having to play all home games with the Celtics so it doesn't look like Kelly had a bad dye job.

Hey Jao--or anybody else that's noticed this problem... has anyone found any type of solution for Kelly's hair being black when the Celtics are away? If there's no fix for this, I'm going to try and make a version with no hair model... so pissed... I finally get to play with Kelly and he's gone goth... so uncool... and random! What the hell?!

I believe you can use a face update from NBA 2K13 to correct the problem. Worth a shot, at any rate.

Have you tried one of the 2K13 updates? They are compatible.

Well, I haven't, cause I really like the 2k14 version--with the exception of the crappy hair issue. I'm just going to do some editing and see if I can make something happen.

Have not tried 2k13 Cyberfaces because I have no idea what the cyberface id is of kelly

I DID think this was an issue with JUST Kelly Olynyk's hair texture or model... but then I realized it wasn't just Kelly... and it didn't only happen with the Celtics when they were the away team, but it all did seem to be with the Celtics and certain teams, whether they were home or away. This became apparent when I attempted to play the Celtics at home against the Pistons and all of the players with hair model/textures had jet black hair--including Kyle Singler and Jerebko... it happened with random teams against the Celtics, but it was only with the Celtics--as far as I noticed...

Anyhow... I updated my NVIDIA driver the other day and just happened to cue up a Celtics game (thinking I was just going to have to suck it up and play with Goth Olynyk) and now it doesn't do this anymore--at least as far as I can tell. So, just thought I'd mention this again for those who like playing as the Celtics and might be frustrated by this weird ass problem. Maybe this is a fix... or maybe it was updated by 2k14 (doubtful), but it was a very pleasant surprise regardless. If any of this has already been covered, I apologize, but there you have it...

It must just be against the C's. I'm currently playing against them in my Association with the Timberwolves. Kinda funny seeing K-Love and especially Robbie Hummel with black hair. My video drivers are up to date, and it doesn't bug me that much considering I will only play against Boston twice all season

Apologies for bumping an old thread but has anyone else noticed on CG Kevin Love shaving his head when he gets benched sometimes?

I'm more interested with why they made him kind of suck. his rating is garbage. More than a few teams he's lead the celtics, he's almost always a solid player... yet since he's tall, they just assumed he was goofy with horrible ball handling, no range, trips over his own feet, bad freethrow shooter. I wish they'd update stats throughout the year. It's like they did no research on him when giving him stat attributes.

Its understandable at the beginning of the season. It's difficult to predict how some rookies will fare once they hit the NBA and expectations weren't through the roof for Olynyk. However, a boost would have been appropriate as the season wore on. I think it just comes down to the official updates leaving something to be desired; unless there's a Linsanity type situation, big boosts tend to be uncommon.

Yea, he's really been coming into his own as of late. He had some big standout games before, but lately he's consecutively been really good.

I just wish they didn't make him so darned goofy. I've been a gonzaga fan all of my life and Celtics fan since the Seattle Sonics disappeared. So I was pumped to get to play him but in the game he's just a stereotypical tall, lanky, goofy white guy, with no offensive/defensive awareness. Maybe next year.

I don't think he'll ever be an absolute star player, but I think he will be a solid supporting player.
