Simulation Discussion

Wed Oct 02, 2013 7:38 am

I bought the PC version and am downloading it now. I probably won't be able to play it until later due to a ton of studying I have to get done but in the meantime what's everyone's impressions on the game in terms of realism. If anyone has the time or has already looked into this stuff here are a few questions I have:

- Are scores with 1 user controlled team on 12 minute quarters still way to high?
- Are scores in CPU vs CPU games fairly realistic/ believable?
- Is association fairly realistic at least through the 1st season?
- What are some common occurrences when simming multiple years in association(In terms of rating increases/decreases, trades, and other transactions)?

Aside from these questions, feel free to discuss this aspect of the game in general.

i can't answer any of your questions because of how I play, but I recommend that you check out Da_Czar's videos on YouTube.

Thanks for pointing his videos out... It seems like most of the games are about 25 to 20 at the end of the 1st which isn't too bad. I'll have to wait and see for myself though. It would be nice to not have to spend hours adjusting sliders this year.

In that Mavs game that Da_Czar posted. It seems Dirk only got the ball once, with Monta basically getting all of the shots. If that happens in real life I'll be pissed off lol.

I still lower the shooting sliders down a bit. But once that is done scores are realistic for 12 minute games. I do run a lot of floppy plays. So I get a shot at the lower end of the shot clock.

Sorry I can't speak to CPU v. CPU or simming yet.
