Talk about NBA 2K14 here.
Mon Jun 10, 2013 1:44 am
From the Kotaku article -
http://kotaku.com/a-pair-of-kings-nba-2 ... -511776954The headliner to last year's edition was not so much the cover stars—Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant, representing a new generation of performers—but hip-hop mogul Jay-Z, who came in as the game's executive producer, and personally cajoled players from the 1992 U.S. Olympic "Dream Team" to appear. That seems to have been a one-year arrangement only.
"Jay-Z's not a prominent figure in NBA 2K14," Argent said. "He continues to be a great friend of the brand, and his work continues to inform some of the decisions we make with the game. But he's not directly involved to the extent he was last year."
Reading the cover athlete thread made me realize that some of you may have missed this.

They should make Ernie Johnson the executive producer.

Should have the TNT Crew for the analysis shows in the game. It would be funny to listen to them talk about your MyPlayer...

So, better menu aesthetics and an intro video that focuses solely on NBA players. Works for me.

No wonder he is not involved that much, since the reception was kinda poor. And for a good reason(although I am a fan of hip hop).

I miss the earlier presentation. NBA 2K9 had that individuality that made it feel authentic. Hell, even 2K11 had better looking menus compared to 2K13.

Honestly, the Jay-Z thing could have been pretty solid but they just really screwed up on the presentation/art. This seems to be a theme with 2k, they have great gameplay and game experience but the art team is just terrible.

IMO
2k10 had the best presentation during game, and 2K11 at the end of a game.
and 2K13 is awfull

I loved the in game presentation of 2K10! I really hope 2K14 updates the game intros.

hope they bring back the top plays in game

Bring back the signature highlights or whatever it was. I want to see every single one of My Players baskets, assists, blocks, irrelevant rebounds, standing dribbles, etc.
I forget if these were in association too or not.

benji, they're in 2K13. Go to the Box Score at the Game Wrap-Up screen, go to any player, press X (IIRC). The fact that replays are broken on the PC version doesn't help, but they are there, just moved to an obscure place (although it makes sense).
