NBA 2K14 Online

Hi, since NBA 2K14 is on sale, i plan to buy it through the Steam. The main reason why i considering to buy it is because of online playing, playing against computer doesn't really feel so exciting and challenging compared to playing against human players. Of course 2K put a lot of work into offline association and other mods but just this access to playing with players all around the world makes me want to buy it. So i wanted to ask is it worth it. Is it buggy, are lags a big problem, and generally, how good is it made, how are you satisfied with it, and would you recommend buying it. I am playing NBA 2K13 what i heard is alot like it's next version that is 2k14 but i would still buy it immiediately if i'd know that it would bring me fun and satisfaction. It's price is nothing compared to other games of same genre which i like but it's still the amount of money i wouldn't like to throw away. Thanks

The online is crap unless you make an online association, AFAIK.

Maybe some other experience that would help me decide whether or not should i buy it. If i buy it, will i be able to play against people playing on other consoles such as ps3?
