Thanks! Your guide helped alot, as I am not into any sorts of editing at all. :) At last we can get rid of this boring Jay-Z-oriented playlist. Also, MediaMonkey was very useful, scanned my music library pretty fast (~30000 songs according to it), so then I could sort all songs by duration.
My current list (totally not NBA-related, just the stuff that somehow fits the fast and energetic nature of the game + Welcome to the Jungle :) ):
Code:
0. Kuedo - Scissors
1. Guns'N'Roses - Welcome to the Jungle
2. Sam & Dave - Hold on I'm Coming
3. The Knife - Heartbeats
4. Nosaj Thing - Light #2
5. College - Express for Acelia
6. Wax Tailor - Where my Heart's at (feat. The Others)
7. Daft Punk - Human after all (Guy-Man After All Justice remix)
8. Audio Bullys - Shot You Down
9. Four Tops - Standing in the Shadows of Love
10. 80kidz - Miss Mars
11. The Black Keys - Strange Desire
12. Miike Snow - In Search of
13. DamianMarley - In 2 Deep
14. Pixelord - Vulvatron (SRC remix)
15. Bill Conty - Take You Back
16. Kavinsky - Testarossa (SebastiAn remix)
17. Pepe Deluxe - A Night and a Day
18. Paul Simpson - Musical Freedom
19. Blue Oyster Cult - Subhuman
20. Gorillaz - Rock the House
21. Red Snapper - I Stole Your Car
22. High Tone - Boogie Dub Production
23. Blackbird Blackbird - Happy High

Hi Jao - I've created an 80's and 70's soundtrack to use with my retro mods in 2k12 and am enjoying listening to Hall and Oats, Kiss and Joan Jett when the menus are up, but once the game starts, when the players walk in in their civies, the game reverts to the in-game music despite the fact that I have changed 25 of the 26 tracks in the Jukebox. :?

Is this what always happens or is there a different file I should also be editing to get my retro music right thru the game?

Reddwarf33, eventmusic.bin is the file you want to edit for the music once you leave the menus and go into a game.

I've made a custom soundtrack and after certain songs, the music just stops and never gets to the next song! Anyone knows why?

Re: Creating Custom Soundtracks

Wed Oct 09, 2013 11:08 pm

you need to make sure the songs are only 1-2 seconds shorter than the original songs

I thought that was the case but the next song never plays! Let's say I have a song 20 sec shorter than the original. The next song won't play even if the 20 sec pass!

you need to extend that song up to 1-2 seconds shorter, check the tool's thread, first post by leftos, he covers it

After some messing around I found out that a new song cannot be more than 19sec shorter than the original or the music will stop playing aferwards.

I have also managed to include songs up to 17sec shorter than the original. I haven't had a chance to test what happens with a 18 or 19sec difference, though.

I tried to change music in eventmusic.bin, but after replacing if i play the song i can only hear a short beep and thats all. The duration is ok, so what can be the problem ?
