Thanks for the fix for white players, the phrase "this global looks sick!" was becoming literal with white players
Tue Nov 13, 2012 4:15 am
Is there any way that someone could post the global without the player's shine and not so ripped muscles?
Tue Nov 13, 2012 4:16 am
Great! Thanks for all the effort!
Tue Nov 13, 2012 4:51 am
Tried it out, I like it so far!

The white players in game still looks dead.

Here's a screen.

Good Job on fixing the muscle textures though!

I have a question. This is a screenie I took just now using ur HOE v2. I'm playing 1st quarter set 1 minute. But I noticed that their sweat was already all over their arms.. (see nash and gasol)They even not started yet. For me, the shine effect is not realistic. If only you could make them at least in the 4th quarter? And I want to suggest that if you could create a sweat pattern, try to emphasize the shine on their shoulders ONLY. making shine on their whole arm looks like they soak their arms somewhere lol =)

take a look at this. screenie using ur AC3 mod. The sweat is great in 1st quarter. but my only problem with this is that the whiter players in the 4th quarter doesn't have enough shine to emphasize their sweat in gameplay.

And this was a screenie I had with my 2k11. I wish you could create at least the same as this

honestly in real life you can't really see the sweat on white people unless you're in their face. I mean come on they're WHITE!

That's the in-game light shine addition, not really supposed to be sweat shine. Its the overall player light game shine that was found by previous modder and then added to this global.
Personally I like the artistic license on this global. I think if the creator was to listen everyone we would need 3 separate versions, no muscle enhanced, no overal shine, and standard

Yea it is always going to be a compromise between what looks good far away and what looks good up close, heck people cannot even agree on colors for teams because color tones can change completely depending on if you are watching the game on tv, or looking at photos, or there in person.
really from the old school press box cam you would not see the sweat on any players unless they cut to a close up. While i think the sweat effect in v1 (not tried v2)up close was overdone to a great degree when they were at full sweat, but i accept it because it makes it stand out at more distant lods. my personal nitpick would be the shine since people are not shiny unless we are covered in oil no mater if we are close in or far out, i assume we need that shine to get some of the other fx however, so i can live with it.

after testing out the HoE II, the white player skin tone during replay got alot better. But the skin tone for white players in gameplay still looks a bit zombie like. I still say to switch back to the default skin tones for the white players.
Anyways , heres some screens

If you do start using long hexpads, is there a way for you to make them without having to change bodytype or use skinny legs. It makes the players look weird, esp. players whose upper body are really built.

Looks good in combination.
Due to the look of it and the direction look, it would be better to show a video of it via a replay zoom sequence and in-game. I like it but wonder how static the direction is?
