The problem with HD is that the WHOLE COURT has 1024x1024 instead of classic court where ONE TEXTURE has for example 512x512.

It's a great discovery but has a long way to go on the quality end. The old way quality wise is day and night but we'll see where the progress goes.


I get what you guys are talking about in the quality side of things and although i agree.. it is to an extent.

I believe this is the best find thus far in terms of creating courts that could no way be possible without this method..

Such as the rockets.. hornets.. teams with basketballs on the FT line.. not to mention all the NCAA courts!! Almost every NCAA court would be without important details without this method. Hex editing is cripser.. yes.. but allows far less freedom of creativity..

This is just perfect for the courts that cannot be created thru hex..

I dont how many ppl would agree with me on this, but i dont need ALL my courts HD..

the one's that are possible in hd PLUS accurate details ill take.... But i will definitely take these cool courts with these cool graphics such as a rocket blasting off into the stars.. or a court in the woods.. or on the beach for that matter.. or we can take it to a bee hive if need be..

HD or not.. ill take this (Y) :D

Well just as i suspected, people are painting their own lines on the textures, to be honest why would u even do that? When you have a lot of courts that are one colored, for example i only use my own lines on the texture, just when i need a second 3pt line, like the example below i will give with my hornets court.

The lines i put on the psd were only the base layers for the real lines that pop up from the model file, that's why i use model files over textured lines.

That's what i'm trying to tell to all you guys, the textures are only for harder courts to make as well as courts that have great concept files online, so people with less knowledge could make something happen.

Just made some major updates for the 1996 Charlotte Hornets court
Fixed the Charlotte Coliseum wordmark, had it pronounced badly lol my bad on that one.
Fixed the college 3pt line, less edgy now.
And did some texture fixing aswell.

Im also impressed with those college concept courts you packed up.. where did you find those..

I googled college courts and even was more specific using team names but no luck for me..

I was looking for a texas longhorns court.. as well as vanderbilt.. any ideas?? :D

Well thanks for coming by, well just because i'm a basketball player as well as somekind of a semi journalist(multitasking gives so much more possibilities lol)
I'm able to find those type of things, but meh, haven't gotten anything official from the longhorns or vanderbilt sorry.

I tried creating a court with R4zors method and so far so good, the texture looks good ... but I was wondering if its possible to import the texture on a created team court as well?

I'm using Reditor to assign the court files, but when I added the court to my created team all I got was a shiny black floor with white lines. Assigning the same court file to the Houston Rockets showed the complete court texture.

Could someone please help me? :oops: :cry:

Well you need to use the same iff file that i gave to the people and ahh you probably did something wrong with the team naming or naming the iff file correctly.

Yes, you need to flatten the image into 1 layer first before saving.

just a matter of making it look more realistic in the texture, not always an easy thing to do.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in creating these 2 courts for me? ...

I'm certainly a noob as I just found out lol. I still have a lot to learn, but I'd love to release these courts in a mod for my YouTube channel (30K subs) and would 100% give credit to the creator of the courts, as well as a shoutout in the video (if wanted). The parquet needs to be scaled down for all courts. It looks stretched out and unrealistic. The example shows how it's layer and how small they are. If you step on a court you'll see it as well. All the courts i'm noticing have unrealistic parquet textures.

I know that man, don't you think that i don't know how the wood looks on the courts, i'm a basketball player so i see a lot of them lol.
I'm still working on a new model, that might fix the stretched floor and etc.

Yeah there is a way, but i removed those logos from the model, cause i'm more of an older and ncaa court maker, the new and current courts are good enough i guess.

This is a great news!!!!
Now i'm working on photoshop "anamorphic 2:1" scale, this help with dimensions about real court apparance, but nothing else...res is always low!

What I do when I'm done is "Sharpen" the image a bit and it seems to be helping. In Gimp: Filters > Enhance > Sharpen, and I set it to around 20 or whatever looks good
