[Tool] Roster Editor

So you guys got the roster offset numbers posted for official rosters in that thread...I'm trying to make changes to two custom rosters from this website, the MJ last season 96-97 and Medveden 0.8 .... The roster offset numbers for these aren't listed in your thread.... I spent an hour or so yesterday watching all of JaoSmings tutorials for 2K13 and finally figured out you could import custom 2K12 courts and have them work in 2K13.. So now I'm just trying to get a handle on this roster stuff a bit better

FYI: if your trying to add anything to my 97/98 MJ Last Season you can't all Team slots and Players slot were used to make this MOD. So if you do anything changes like this you will cause problems with the roster, you have been WARNED!

and if you want to edit someone else's roster, or a particular roster.....contact them! lol and if they can't help you, there are multiple tutorials on how to find the offsets in the first post of this thread, and in the tutorials forum.

^ yea ok I get it, like I said I spent well over an hour watching all your videos on your channel yesterday, i didnt see anything said about missing tabs in that original video.... so I would have had no idea to even connect the dots between missing tabs and offset numbers, etc....
anyway I'm not some modder whos gonna redistribute the roster or whatever, no disrespect meant I been on this website long enough to know you guys are sensitive to all that... I just wanted to move Mike Bibby onto the Grizzlies that's all.

^ yea last night I remembered he was also on the 2001 Sacramento Kings and I traded him to the Grizzlies that way, worked out better because that cyberface he has there is his younger version as opposed to the one he has from recently.
Theres still a few more player changes I would like to make, but like Retro said it will crash the game, so I'll just have to wait for them to make the Ultimate Base Mod for 2K13...
when abouts would that be coming out anyway ? I've looked around on this forum and others I haven't seen any threads regarding it...

this isn't the place to discuss such things, but they cannot do it without the REDitor, and this late in the year they have been talking about skipping 2K13 for 2K14 in the 2K12 thread.

Is it possible to change the coach with this tool? Like if I wanted to assign Doc Rivers as the head coach of the Bucks, how would I do that if possible?

Please include Morale and Rotation editing in later updates if you could. In MyCareer, other players get rating drops when their morale gets low since they're not happy with the amount of playing time or their roles.

james_force, I've announced I'm not adding any more features. REDitor, whenever it comes out, should do everything you want.

187, StHeadCoach in the Teams tab. You need to find which coach is which by finding a CFID list for the Staff, and then finding the Staff ID based on the CFID in the Staff tab. Then, you get that Staff ID, put it in StHeadCoach in the Teams tab.

Just wanted to get some clarification for something in the Tutorial... in the Jerseys tab, I can't repeat the 'Home' designation for a jersey, correct? Since that lets the game know what to default to. For example, I can't overwrite a Retro jersey and re-name it 'Home' with just different color accessories, so that both the normal Home jersey would be called 'Home', and what was once 'Home Retro I' is also now 'Home'. Correct?

actually, those things don't matter. Whatever is the topmost Jersey without isaway ticked is the default home uniform, whatever is the topmost Jerseys with isaway ticked is the default away uniform.

Know that isaway is not editable in Leftos' tool, its a REDitor thing. Rename as you please

Can the shorts length for certain teams be edited with this tool?

I search Boylan cfID in Staff tab of roster file. Found four 5085 cfID. What's the right Boylan?

I see in Medevenx roster and UBR 5 roster pics of Boylan, Carlesimo and Hunter in Milwaukee, Nets and Suns team coach profiles, but the names are again Skiles, Avery Johnson and Gentry.
All coaches is ok in 2k's official roster, but the team Tab in official 2k's roster is empty.

Albys, there's no way to edit the names before REDitor arrives. What Medevenx has done is find the PortraitID and CFID of those coaches and replace those. 2K, on the other hand, has added those coaches as staff entries to the latest rosters, and that's why they have proper names. You can't get proper names for them unless you use that roster as a base.

That staff CFID list isn't very well-made, but I don't know of any better one.

As for why the Teams tab is empty in the official 2K roster, all I can say is, read the first post of this thread.

See what CFID and PortraitID Medevenx has used for those coaches, search your Staff tab to see if you have them as separate entries, and then use that ID in StHeadCoach and StAsstCoach respectively. If you don't have them as separate entries, you can only have them in CF and portrait by replacing an existing entry; you can't have their name.

AirAaron32, Vlad Zola Jr. is working on REDitor. There is no timeframe for its release currently. This time last year it was already released, but back then nor was Vlad so busy with university and real-life matters, nor was he building the whole tool from scratch.

About the CF ID, the one for PJ Carlesimo is 5050. He is not in the roster, that's why he isn't in that list. Lindsey Hunter doesn't have a CF Id as a coach, just as a player (0284).

Leftos do u know which file is in charge off announcing names. I mean i create Gelabale and game automaticly recognize his name, but shved and few rookies no.

For some reason I'm getting a lot of blank names in Roster Editor for Med's Roster. I thought it was a CFNames.txt issue, so he sent me his, and I placed it into the folder where I have all the Roster Editor files from the RAR, as well as a file in My Documents, and still names don't show up (not all of them, just players who I believe started at CAPs like Pablo Prigioni and Copeland). Any idea what I may have done wrong? Should I just uninstall everything and do a fresh install of Roster Editor, and then use the CFNames.txt he sent me (if necessary?)
