Leftos is joining 2K Sports, NBA 2K Team

As we just announced here, Leftos has accepted a position with Visual Concept/2K Sports and will be joining the NBA 2K Development Team! We couldn't be more stoked and proud of him, so please join us in congratulating him on the new gig.

I have to say, I'm still not fully aware of what's going on. It still hasn't fully hit me. It was just a year ago that I was joining the NLSC staff in running this amazing community, without which I'd most probably never have gotten into modding. It was out of guilt for leeching all those mods you guys were making that I started "giving back" and creating tools that would automate arduous work such as shader editing, and open it up to the masses (anyone remember NBA 2K12 Global Editor?).

Things have changed a lot since then. I have made a lot of tools for both 2K12 and 2K13 which have hopefully helped some of you enhance your experience with the game. I'm also proud to have been part of and helped in other mods here at the NLSC.

As part of the team, I helped made sure NLSC was always the friendly modding community (although it's so much more) that got me into modding in the first place, and helped make the Podcast a weekly reality that has hopefully kept you good company with all its Simpsons references and talk about how great a league NBL is. And zombies.

So, long story short, I want to thank each and every one of you that's been a part of the NLSC since I joined in 2009, because every single one of our interactions was a step that lead up to this, and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's been a great ride, and I hope I'll be able to be around the community to keep you guys company, discuss the latest news, and praise the amazingness that is Andre Drummond every chance I get.

Special thanks go to all of the NLSC staff, who from colleagues became good friends of mine in an amazingly short period. They're an amazing group, and one that I was glad to be a part of.

Let my story be a testament to how every one of you can make their dreams come true, as long as they follow their passion. You will be approached if you impress. So keep up the good work, and you might just be the next guy or gal that they pick up and makes NLSC proud.

Viva la NLSC! I hope this is just the start of great things to come. I promise to do my best as part of the great team that is Visual Concepts, and help make the best iterations of NBA 2K yet!

Congratulations Leftos. Hopefully 2K will now release an official roster and or graphics editor like EA use to have. Hopefully we'll get a patch this season.

Congrats, sir Leftos! I was hoping someone from these forums will be recruited by 2K at some point. Does this mean that you'll be some type of bridge between the NLSC and the company? Just kidding. Congratulations again, sir.

I have a hard time with you, we discuss and fight some times in the past, i got banned and get very mad of you... BUT, not recognize your work and contribute to the NLSC Community and for the game itself is a lack of respect and an unffair position.

I came here first to congratulate you and with class say that i am sorry of our discussion in the past months, even if i got my own reasons to maintaing my point of view at the time cause education MUST serves to users and moderators as well in pair of equality.

I think it's time to move on, your lost will be deeply felt here and i hope that we can see you back sooner then ever to help our beloved game of basketball to development at the higher levels.

2K Sports will gain a remarkable professional and a guy with opinion and vision. Great add for the team, no doubts!
