Hey guys I have an idea ... People like me do not always have time to go to the computer and go to sites like the NLSC.
So why not make an Android and An iPhone App?

Because you can just as easily access this site - and any other - using the web browser on an Android or iOS device.

I think that would only make things redundant.

Actually, we could add tapatalk functionality and you can use that app to post on the site from your phone. I would only be interested if it loss the pages faster than my browser.

But to me it's really annoying cuz you have to zoom in, zoom out again zoom in and zoom out again

Tapatalk or the native browser?

native browser

I use opera mini browser from my Android phone , and in fact, this forum is one of the most convenient to view from a mobile browser. Many communities and sites have serious problems loading into mobile, but nlsc is ok on this matter in my opinion.

Added to the fact you could just use a browser, NLSC is on facebook, twitter and youtube, so there are already different ways you can access the site (which are app friendly as well).

You can get the internet on phones now?
I've always wanted to send IMs or something instead of talking.

Give it time, they'll come up with something like that.

Didn't want to make a new thread for this issue, but I think adding TapaTalk functionality to this forum would be really awesome!
I already use this app (for Android) to keep up with other forum and it's make this really simple and accessible.
To be frank I don't see a reason not to do it, it's completely free to add the functionality, the members will choose whether to get this app or not.

I've seen people use it in other forums, but sparingly. I think the money it costs would be no different than paying a programmer to create a dedicated app.

Only the users buy the app so they can use it (many people like myself already have the app for other forums), forum owners can integrate the app into their forums FOR FREE (which is cheaper than paying someone to make a dedicated app

)

No news for TapaTalk integration?

It's free and it would really help members who already own the app..

Sorry, not at this time.

If I wanted to chat Andrew I would just ask him for his phone number and call him in the ungodly hours of very early morning.

Any reasons for not wanting to add tapatalk integreation?
Would love to be able to browse it like that on my phone.

Other priorities, low demand.
Tue Jan 01, 2013 8:08 pm
Andrew I hope you can add tapatalk support soon...

Then I'm afraid you'll be disappointed.

Why being so negative? I think listing this forum in Tapatalk will add more exposure and people who are already using this app will discover just how great this forum is.
I admit I don't know how much time you will need to invest in order to make this work, as far as I understand from reading
here it's no more than a day process, but considering the fact it's free it's really low risk high reward situation.
Thu Jan 10, 2013 7:46 pm
Again: other priorities, very low demand for it. It's not something we're looking at doing right now, we may consider it in the future.

It would be easier just to enable mobile view for the site.
