Download Links/Managers

I've been wondering for quite some time now but why doesn't nlsc support download managers? Even when I start downloading the files, the links it show are all the same which is downloads.php. It's not that I'm complaining but whenever I download files that are a 100mb, it just bothers me a bit that my download speed isn't being maximized at all. My download speed is usually around 956KB/s on other sites but when I download here, the best I could get is 53KB/s which is a huge drop off to what I'm used to. Again, I'm not complaining at all but I was just wondering if you could provide an explanation as to why this is the case.

It's just the way the Downloads section add-on for phpBB was designed, basically.
