Change number of games in Association Mode

I've looked through the forum some, and I apologize if this has been discussed...

Is there a way to change the number of games played in association mode after a few seasons have been played? I've been thinking about using RED MC to copy all the stats and ratings and such from my 82 game per season (year four) and then simulating another association to year four, but using the next lowest amount of games (58-ish), and pasting all the stats over onto that association.

Will this carry over championships?

Are there any glaring problems you guys know of that makes this impossible?

More importantly, does anyone know of an easier way to do this?

You can't change the number of games once you've started an Association.

Do you know why copying over stats and awards and such using RED MC wouldn't work?

Have you heard of anyone trying?

I imagine that would work, it'd just be a lengthy undertaking that a lot of people probably wouldn't bother with.
