wanna ask about my career glitch

Whenever I play a game in my career, my minutes drop, although i get like grade a+ 30pts 15 rebs 15 asists, I get like 27 minutes then back to 21 then up again to 27 and down to 21, i can't reach 30 minutes even because every second game they drop about -3, so I wanna ask has anyone else experienced this problem? I hope i was understood.

Nope, with those kind of grades I've been able to maintain about 40 minutes of playing time in the rotation. The grading logic is in need of a tune up heading into NBA 2K14 though as there is a tendency to take away minutes for one subpar/ordinary game amid a string of stellar performances, which is an overreaction you won't see from most coaches in real life when dealing with a star player that isn't also a headcase, but I've never had my minutes go up and down that drastically from game-to-game.

How long are your quarter lengths?

12 Minutes quarter. I will try to lower the minutes and see what happens. Thanks for the reply.

Strange. I'm playing 12 minute quarters as well and not experiencing the issue, so lowering the quarter length probably won't help the matter. Have you edited the game in any way with a trainer or another tool?

I reinstalled the game and it works good without any patches and addons, so I must have downloaded some bad roster patch / addon, u can lock this thread.

This happens to me way too often. What I've figured out is that this happens if your coach gets pissed off at you and benches you, no matter how great a game you had. Here are things that will do that.

-Committing 3 turnovers or some form of lazy pass that almost gets stolen in a short amount of time.
-Continuous awful defense
-Intentional fouls
-Calling a timeout at the end of the quarters (and yes this includes the end of games, which is a major annoyance)


I'm a 99-overall PG averaging crazy numbers across the board, and every once in a while I'll be benched and start playing 22 minutes a game if I have a bad turnover game.

I have a similar glitch.. I am the sixth man (SG) yet I have more minutes than the starting SG. xD

That's not necessarily a glitch, as we do see that situation sometimes in real life. More often than not in NBA 2K13 however, you do earn the starting spot once you're getting the lion's share of the minutes. Still, it's not an unrealistic scenario.

It's not a glitch it's just a dumb thing 2k did, if you get like 5 to's your minutes are bound to drop most of the time. Happened for me many times, I play an atlethic PG, i get around 40 points 17 rebounds and 15 assists, but if I get 5-7 turnovers, I instantly lose 3 minutes.

Indeed, the play-to-play grading and game evaluation AI is a little harsh and geared too much towards punishing mistakes than rewarding good performances.
