Help with co-op mode, please!

Hey guys. I just bought the game and I've been playing the co-op mode with a friend of mine (both of us on the same team) and I'm wondering if is possible to automatically change player when doing a pass. I mean, player 1 pass the ball to another player and the icon automatically goes to player 2. So far the icon remains with the same controller until one pass to another previsously selected player!
