Resolution

Thu Nov 22, 2012 6:47 pm

I have 1680x1050 monitor. With my old graphic card I played nba on 1440x900 resolution and it was looking good (not too wide, not too narrow). But after I bought a new, stronger graphic card, on every resolution the game looks a little bit for me too wide. I would like to see players and basket more wide in height. How to fix it?

It's probably because the screen resolutions aren't the same ratio as your monitors. Most games either use the res you set with black around it or will try to stretch to fill the screen. Your monitor is a 4:3 so I'd say using only 4:3 resolutions would be your best bet if the game is doing the latter.

But why with other video card it was good? How to make display more narrow despite my 4:3 resolution?

Have you set your monitors H/W adjusted settings?

Well, if your game is showing a res and its not setting to screen correct, have you made sure its using the native resolution dimensions to the monitor first off all? Have you made sure you dont have any screen W/H position overrider settings in your graphics driver display settings? And have you also made sure that even all of that being ok, that you dont need to now adjust your actual monitor H/W and position setting to stretch or uniform by the physical button menu options of your monitor?

I know that my monitor can display off center when games kick in, If I align and set it via monitor, desktop display will be ok and untouched but it will jump to that setting when graphics changed as game re kicks in to align and match.

Apart from that, I dont have your game manual, no one knows your graphics driver or card, and no one can see what your see so in actual fact:
