About Screen Resolution

I have a dual core processor (e5800 @3.2 ghz speed)
3gb of ram
GT FORCE 9800 1gb 256bit green edition vga
AND an old crt monitor with a max resolution of 1024X768 pixel
So i try to adjust my sreen resolution of my nba2k13 in game setting of 1280x1024
in that resolution my game run smootly no stutter or lag...but of couse the game is fit to resize to my monitor
So my question is, If I buy a new led monitor. let say a max resolution of 1280x720
do you think its the same performance of my game in my old crt monitor to a high resolution led monitor..(sorry for my english)

go buy yourself a new LED.
monitors doesnt affect the game but the video card does.
if you have 1GB 256bit GPU you can still max it out.
