Training Camp 1st before starting the whole thing

Fri Oct 05, 2012 12:26 am

Upon installing 2k13, setting options and benchmarking,
The first thing I accomplished was the TRAINING CAMP MODE under practice.
I think this is the basic way to adapt to the new controls. :cheeky:

how about you? :?:

Naw I just jumped right in but finishing training camp is definitely on my to do list because there are simple things I have absolutely no idea how to pull off, like an alley opp? :x

first thing I usually do is one exhibition and then MyPlayer and try to get used to the controls there. I'm definitely planning to do the training camp though.

Training camp helps but due to the linear format you soon forget which moves are which and how to do them. Best way to learn is in free practice mode and continually look at move list from in-game menu. It allows you to practice more freely from different angles, etc. Training camp is good because it tells you if you actually did the move correctly. For example, some of the post moves look similar.

I just jerk the right stick all over the place and some sick stuff come out hahaha No but seriously, I played a few games and I'm starting to get a hold of it. No that hard

X+A at the same time, and left stick to where your teammate is at.

Agreed. I'll probably run through training camp again this year but I'll be heading to free practice afterwards to try and really get the moves down.
