The "How is your MyTEAM going?" Thread

I had to start this thread because this mode was the main reason I bought the game.

Right off the bat, two things that should have been included: Leaderboards, and the ability to play against a friend's team in an exhibition match, even if you get no VC.

Anyway, I don't think people are realizing that you can resell all of the players in your starter pack for the price they're worth, and then basically chose your team out of the lower rated tier players. That's what I did, and this is my team as of now (my 360 gamertag is birdman711ify, just incase you play me or something):

I wear the Pistons alternate red away, KG era Wolves home, have the Nuggets court, Pistons playbook, and Monty Williams as my head coach.

There is such an increase in price from the bronze to silver players. Rashard Lewis (bronze) costs 850 VC, while Boris Diaw and Kurt Thomas (both silver) are 10,000. I'll try to answer any questions you have about the mode too.

Some rookies and young players with potential are extremely cheap (like Barnes, Rivers, Valunciunas and Motiejunas), so buy them before their prices could go up drastically. And someone like Thabeet is very much worth their low price, with height and shot blocking, as well as he's easy buckets around the rim.

I lost my first game to some guy who went off with Wayne Ellington (possibly with an attribute boost or signature skill equipped). Ellington had six threes and 20+ points. His team was probably worse than mine too.

For the attribute boosts, are they gone after you use them on a player for one game?

This mode is good for now, but still needs a lot of work and additions to be great.

yea......FYI, this is more of a PC community if you didn't know, and the PC version doesn't have MyTEAM. No stickie.

I have no clue, and I will get the console version eventually, but not for a while ($30 price point)

So I went ahead and bought LeBron for the $6 or so he's worth. His salary is 100 a game (I'm pretty sure gold salary = 100, silver = 50, bronze = 0). If you equip a signature skill to a player it makes their salary go up. I put some shooting signature skill on Mike Miller, and it made his salary 100, the same as LeBron. I sold all of my signature skills because of this: I won't use them because they cost VC to use (sell and re-buy your player if you want to get rid of an equipped signature skill).

So I think Elton Brand (the lowest rated gold player) will have the same salary as LeBron (100). I don't have plans of purchasing another gold or even silver player, because it'll be too hard to pay for both he and LeBron.

This is also stupid: Al Horford and LeBron cost the same amount; who would you rather have? That's why I don't see anyone buying Horford unless they're making a super team. No offense to Horford, the same can be said about Garnett, Ginobili, Lamarcus Aldridge, Rondo, ect.

I was about to be an ass and say, it probably would of been going well if the PC Version had the game mode, but it's not your fault. Good luck with it you got an interesting group so far.
