Mobile version gets "Greatest Games" mode

Postby Leftos on Tue Sep 25, 2012 2:24 am

As noted by @Steve_OS of Operation Sports, the iOS/Android version of NBA 2K13 has a "greatest games" mode in which you'll, apparently, be able to play games from the greatest moments of various players as of yet. No mention of the mode being included in the console and PC versions, yet.

Is this an added incentive just to grab the mobile version as well? Or is it included in other versions as well and just wasn't deemed important enough to mention? My money's on the first case being true, but we'll keep watching for confirmation from someone from 2K Sports.

Would you care for such a mode being included in the PC and Console versions? Does the inclusion of this mode change your mind on buying the mobile version of the game?

Iirc one of the previews confirmed there was no legends mode of any sort in the game
Opinions are my own.

Definitely a mode that would be great to have, especially with the players shown, not only old-school players. I would never buy the mobile version though.

Its nice seeing MyTeam mode being incorporated somehow into the mobile version, but if they're able to include their brand new mode, why not include Association as well? Tie the same drills from MyPlayer into your Association monthly or weekly practices. Manage your roster, make trades, Sim through games using hoop cast etc. And for $8 they're saying that its worth roughly 1/4 of the PC version, haha no thanks. I guess I'll just have imagine signing my own fake autographs again.

I remember that too, which suggests those platforms will miss out on that this year. Kind of a shame as it certainly doesn't hurt to have the extra modes and make full use of the classic teams that are still in the game, but I'd suggest that the experience on PC/360/PS3 is always going to be superior than the mobile version, so it's just a little something extra for that platform to make it more appealing.

yeah, i'm sure it just a way to market the mobile version better. either that or there just wasn't enough room left on the console/pc discs lol.
