Talk about NBA 2K13 here.

Pour some out for your console homies that miss it so
http://ussportsdownunder.com/nba/play/n ... -questionsWe didn’t have time to add a crew mode this year, but its definitely something we will be looking at moving forward because the demand is certainly there.
One day in the office as we were talking about it Jay-Z pulls his cell out of his pocket and goes “hold on I got this” Jay then calls Charles and he picked up straight away and the deal was done, he even had Charles on speed dial.
For your other topic no, we can’t support the old control scheme. Looking backwards we are much looking forward, once people play it, I promise you will not want to go back, its just so much more controllable than it ever has been.

lack of options, always good
Can you export your My Player to a team in exhibition mode?
You can’t export your my player to exhibition mode but you can export to NBA blacktop mode and dress him however you want with shoes and accessories.
My Team is entirely an online mode, we needed to make something online that people can feel like they are really making progress with, something with a sense of accomplishment.

so PC users can probably skip that....

Automated translation of a NBA 2K13 Greek preview from an event in Paris. Nothing new in it.
http://translate.google.com/translate?s ... o-nba-2k13Funny how their story on how "Jay-Z got Barkley" isn't consistent between events. They're not even trying.

mikogoincyco93, I merged your topic because we already had this one.
EDIT: Death threats? Wow.
@BigBossRon08: @Ronnie2K A bitch no Know CREWS huh hope u eat good today cuz it's going to be yo last
EDIT 2: -sigh-
Signature Skills levels only apply to MyPlayer, not the rest of the roster, not any other mode. As I said in the SigSkills thread, makes no sense to me.

That's the Internet for you.
In any event, it doesn't affect me but it's a shame for the folks who really wanted to see it return. They seem to be aware of how popular it is so hopefully for that crowd, they can find the time to implement it next year.

The Facebook poll they had put up had made a pretty big statement on the popularity of Crew. I'm pretty sure they know.

Yeah, they certainly get enough feedback about it to be aware of the situation.
Ronnie has mentioned that the reason Crew was taken out and isn't being brought back just yet is due to it being problematic and something he personally wouldn't want to play if it was like it was in NBA 2K11, much as he loves it (as per
this Tweet). That kind of reminds me of the situation with the All-Star Weekend in NBA Live, which was taken out in NBA Live 10. The reason we got for that was the developers weren't happy with it and wanted to bring it back even better at some point in the future, though most of us generally felt that it was functional and fun enough to play, so leaving it in - warts and all - was still preferable to not having it at all.
I'm just wondering if it's a similar situation with Crew, that it's still fun and works well enough despite any flaws it might have and the developers are making a bigger deal out of it than the community by taking it out. Would anyone who enjoyed Crew in the past care to weigh in on that?

Sometimes you can't just leave that stuff in there and have it work with the other changes you're making. They'd have to take the time to ensure it still works as it used to which takes away from other things. Easier to just yank it all out or dummy it out. (As Jao discovered in the Live 2004 files recently.)

just for funsies, the "not ready" excuse was used on the Dunk Contest being included in ASW in years past. Now it's Guitar Hero and a preorder exclusive.
2K is starting to develop a fun track record of their own.

"Starting"?

Did anyone notice this?Anytime that you are outside of My Career mode signature skills are on or off there is no tier levels, each player can have up to 5 signature abilities such as Kobe Bryant, he will have the shot creator, dead-eye, microwave, scrapper and closer.
When you’re in the progression of My Career mode we do have the signature skills that are based on tiers.

Yep, Leftos picked up on that too. That's a shame, I'm still optimistic that Signature Skills will pan out but that's a puzzling decision.

What is the reason for this fuckery? Why does 2K always have to tease with bullshit they can do, but just doesnt do it?

Well, the reason they've given is that they weren't entirely happy with how Crew worked in NBA 2K11 so they scrapped it for NBA 2K12 and the focus has been elsewhere the past couple of years. And as benji pointed out:

lol at those guys taking it hard personally just because they felt offended or violated with the news. Most hilarious is that guy in the 2nd link who had multiple tweets that he was being affected so much by it even as he was about to sleep or lost sleep over it lmao.
Even though I hadn't tried MyCrew (who could anyway in the PC?) I did enjoy watching clips in the old 2K community site of teams composed mostly of players that are 7'2" and 300+ lbs. with over-'roided body types that have neon green hair, bright yellow jerseys and pink shoes.
