Question of the Week #1 (P#4): Justin Bieber & You

In this week's podcast (Episode #4), we introduced a new weekly feature for NLSC, to get you, the community, directly involved in the podcast.

Each week, at the end of each podcast, we'll be presenting you with a question. We may not give you our points of view on the matter discusses when we first announce the question, but we'll keep looking for your answers in these Question of the Week threads, and the most interesting, the smartest, the funniest ones will get featured in next week's podcast.

Question of the Week #1
So, we start with a hard one, and one that's bound to get controversial. We know you all love Justin Bieber. You won't admit it, neither will we, but in reality you spend days and nights listening to his great, deep songs, such as Baby, and Boyfriend.

The calls to get Justin Bieber in NBA 2K13 were overwhelming. Secret marketing data that got leaked from a 2K employee exclusively to NLSC says that the feature that would bring the most new customers to NBA 2K13, was the addition of Justin Bieber.

And back when we didn't know anything about NBA 2K13 yet, other than the fact that it would come out sometime this year, we already knew that Justin Bieber was in it, motion-captured and everything.

We, the NLSC staff, feel this Justin Bieber integration is even bigger news than the Jay-Z integration, and were taken aback from 2K's choice to put the latter one's name on the cover, and not of our favorite singer/artist/celebrity.

Qballer, Pdub and I have already mentioned in this week's podcast what we're going to do with Justin Bieber once 2K13 hits. What will you do to take advantage of this big addition? How will you use Justin Bieber to improve your experience?

Atleast if we ever need to make a female basketball player then we can just crack open his texture files and use his cyberface with long hair.

Well cause JB has a great relationship with them Kardashians, i would probably put my messenjahmatt style on and create a video with JB and Kris Humphries singing Baby to Kim, so he could get some of those sugar walls back and if i really wanted to do so, the time i spent on that video, would last more than their famous marriage.

It's a valid discussion, and we've had a lot of ideas during the podcast. I don't see how I need to be smoking something in order to recognize the humongous effect that Justin Bieber has had in the promotion (and will have on the sales) of NBA 2K13.

If I can bring JBiebs into Creating-a-Legend my life will be complete. Can't wait to max out his quickness and hands attribute to.

Would actually be funny to have the arena play Baby every time he scores.

Well, I'm probably going to either stay with NBA Live 10 or get Live 13, but here would be my plans for Bieber:

1) Get him in a one-on-one match with Kwame Brown and create a "Kwame Brown is the best" highlight package. With that morale boost, Kwame will have a career season in 2012-2013 and finally live up to his expectation as a number 1 pick.

2) Find a way to get him on the Bobcats. I mean, it's not like they can get much worse. Plus, with his signing, it's bound to get Shaq back into the NBA, since he's a big fan of the Biebs. Not only will both guys draw huge crowds for the small market Bobcats, but it'll limit Bieber's singing career and make Shaq quit his job as a TNT "analyst".

Just a general question; will the integration of Jay-Z and Justin Bieber mean they'll collaborate on an NBA 2k13 theme song? Because one of the things I loved about 2k11 was this:

Whoever does a remix of a Jay-Z and a Justin Bieber song for an NBA 2K13 intro gets a treasure chest full of love and his remix played at the next podcast.

How will I use Justin Bieber to improve my NBA 2K13 experience?

I...honestly can't think of a sane answer to that question.

OK, then...I would use him in MyPlayer mode as a high flying dunker/enforcer who gives arrogant answers to all press questions and win multiple championships. Then, just when he was walking home with his parents from a game, a mugger came to them. With a gun. We can guess what happened next.

Having witnessed the murder of his parents as a child, he then swore revenge on criminals, an oath tempered with the greater ideal of justice. He trains himself both physically and intellectually and dons a bat-themed costume in order to fight crime. Unlike most superheroes, he does not possess any superpowers; he makes use of intellect, detective skills, science and technology, wealth, physical prowess, martial arts skills, an indomitable will, fear, and intimidation in his continuous war on crime.

And we'll hunt him. Condemn him. Sick the dogs on him. Because that's what needs to happen. Because sometimes the truth isn't good enough. Sometimes people deserve more. He will run. Because we have to chase him. Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him...because he can take it...because he's not a hero.

He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A Dark Knight.

Sane:

I'll find a way to remove him from the player's database.

Insane:

I'll raise all his stats to 99, and make him a 9 feet-tall point slashing pointguard.
