Future of NBA 2k montages and fan trailers

Anyone remember MessenjahMatt's fan trailers for MJ before they he was brought back to the gaming world... In fact MessenjahMatt's videos was one of the biggest reasons 2k brought back Jordan and other Legends.

In the past I have been a huge fan of the NBA 2k montages and mini mixes. Lately more people are posting and uploading videos. I feel like it's losing its unique creativity with everyone uploading vids of them playing the game. I love it when people add something that you cant find in other videos. Whether it be great editing, a rarely performed dunk, an unknown player breaking ankles, or just a new mod... I think the montage makers will definately have to step it up this year. It's so much that we have already seen. And with youtube playing commercials before almost every video (seemingly) I don't want to feel like I just wasted my time on a 2k13 montage of stuff I see everytime I play the game.

I wish messenjahmatt comes back he added his own stuff which was crazy and unseen but his father passed away and he said he was still dealing with it maybe he might make a comeback for 2k13, but i am liking shadys stuff he has done a good job

MessenjahMatt was a 2K God - simply put. I faithfully watched every single video he made until he unofficially quit.

I'd been wondering what happened to MessenjahMatt, that's a shame to hear. Hope he's doing OK.

As far as new mixes are concerned, creativity is obviously the name of the game and the best of the best and the more unique videos will obviously stand out. Some are going to be better than others and it's a craft that needs to be perfected. I think everyone who tries their hand at it deserves some credit along with constructive feedback, but the points you mentioned are things that are certainly worth keeping in mind.

I think we all are aware who Shady00018 is and if you've seen one if his videos you've seen them all. I'm waiting for a Momentus trailer 2K13... everything else is just meh IMO.

I appreciate Shady's work, and he makes some impressive videos, but MessenjahMatt had taken it to another level, remaking old ads and everything.

Shady is good he brings that promotion that players need (even created fictional players), MessenjahMatt's video's restored nostalgia and made us all remember our favorite jordan moments. Messenjah Matt made us want to recreate those legendary moments in game inspiring 2k's legendary modes in 2k11, 2k12, and now 2k13.

currently working on something inspired by messenjahmatt... but it is a whole different direction
