Minimum Expectations for NBA 2K13

What are your minimum expectations for NBA 2K13? That is, the base things that NBA 2K13 has to do or have to be a satisfactory experience.

* Less amount of driving to the paint with guards by AI. More pick'n'rolls, post plays, off screen shooting by it.
* Less of blatant scripted momentum, when you can't score anything by cpu will.
* Realistic speed, acceleration, inertia difference by slow/heavy and fast/light players.
* Defendable up'n'under. Just lack of collision when you do it in front of defender.
* At least have ability to play with friends online using custom settings with pc version.

I mean, at minimum they need to fix the issues in 2k12's non-competition year...

...for me to enjoy it though, there needs to be more off-season gameplay stuff in MP and Association (Summer League), blacktop mode brought back to its rightful glory, Crew Mode (with working PC online play), and I would really like to see better ball physics for blocks (like 2k11).
...oh, and the return of animation variety
Opinions are my own.

-60 frames per second online and high quality graphics for pc online games.
-Improved passing, whether it be control, animation selection, or a better system, or just better.
-Improved collisions and shot animation selection around the basket.
-Improved awkward shot defense around the paint where shots get blocked in odd ways so they look more realistic.
-Less up and unders near the rim by all players and more attacking the improved basket collisions.
-More pull up jumpshots when attacking an improved help defense and pull up shots off screens.
-Expanded My Player mode that makes it a more interesting and interactive story-career mode.

proper stat keeping and less obvious when CPU is raping you...No more unrealistic shots by player who cant hit them. Like any big guy can hit a fadeaway in the post or a hook shot even though they have brick hands....very minor details to gameplay add up

Also a more responsive crossover.

idk a lot of things..I dont know how to quanitfy it but should feel better than 2k12

For my part, I'd have to say:

  • Further refinement of controls and animations so there's smoothness and responsiveness, getting rid of some of the clunkier moments and canned situations (like getting stuck to an opponent when trying to rebound); improved collisions.

  • Simpler controls without compromising the depth. To me, some moves still feel a bit too convoluted to pull off.

  • Improved stats generation, trade and free agent logic in Association Mode

  • A further ratings boost at the start of My Player, along with a more forgiving grading system that avoids some of the logical flaws seen in NBA 2K12 (though I did think 2K12 was a step up here). Trade logic must be better out of the box here, too.

  • Some of the new CBA rules in place in Association and My Player, as much as they can get in without messing things up/having to do a complete overhaul.

  • Proper differentiation in speed and acceleration between players.

  • Quality historical content for a change of pace.

  • Better online support, across all platforms

I'm assuming that they'll continue to have a pleasing amount of depth to Association and My Player, a focus on real team strategy, quality presentation and the like, so I'm taking it as read that the game is going to be a pretty solid product on the whole. However, the above points are the bare essentials that I feel the game needs to focus on for it to be a step up from last year and an enjoyable experience. I also think they're things that the game can realistically deliver.

That's pretty much what they're going to have, just without the TNT branding...unless of course they've secured the licensing agreement for it. However, I'm guessing they'd have mentioned that by now.

Adding to what has been mentioned:

* removal of the turbo dribble where the ball-handler throws the ball in front. I like the ball mechanics in 2K12 overall but this dribble animation, I do not like at all.

* updating current teams that have multiple draft picks in Association Mode (i.e. Lakers trade 2013 & 2015 First Round Pick and 2013 & 2014 Second Round Pick to Suns for Nash)

Well, when we do the "review the game" thread next year I'll be looking forward to more realistic scores around here. These are "minimum expectations" after all.

Cmon 2k we got XXI century and i cannot play online with high quality graphics with some1 next street because i get 15fps? All this with 20mbit transfer? Its unacceptable and one of the biggest absurd in online gaming. Three years no fix!
Look at FIFA and other sport games, no problems to play with guys from other countries and continents.

I just want to be able to edit all of the audio on the PC version of the game. This is the only thing missing. Imagine NBA 2K12 with all the real life audio, real crowd chants, etc. I'm getting goosebumps thinking about it. Come on, 2K!

Gameplay:
>Eliminate cheese
>Fix bogus momentum online and offline
>More dribble animations (more simple one's), give stars correct moves
>Fix bumping animation/tone down
>Smoother jumpshots for players like David lee and Marc Gasol (remove pause/hitch)
>Better defensive counters (ones that work)
>More accurate hot spots

Visual/Presentation:
>Fix bad cyberfaces (Zach Randolph, Marc Gasol, George Hill, Danny Dranger, George Paul, Deron Williams..etc)
>Real starting lineups
>More accurate colors, correct arenas (names, floors, logos..etc)
>More accurate body types (Marc Gasol, Melo, Paul Pierce..etc)
>Better quality sneakers and bigger selection

I'd like to see some major additions to Association mode, I spend the bulk of my time playing this mode. I think it would be cool to have some "college" stats for prospects, and more 2nd round steals. Also, more CAP body types would be ideal, More unique looking rookies as they do become a big part of the mode 1-2 years in.

To make it simple, most off all I want that stats bug fixed.
I'd also like to see something like rotation sub-menues. What does that mean? I just want to be able to have for example a PG rotation where I can set the minutes a player will play as a PG, even if he's no "natural" PG, like LBJ.
And I'd be a great fan of position changes within the same line-up (switching a guard from PG to SG and vice versa) having applied instantly and not just with next dead ball situation.
Multi team/ player trades? Yes of course!
