Gametrailers.com will have it too, so this is moreorless a placeholder until it happens.
Random screencap from a commercial!

In motion it looked just like a 2K game, so nothing completely new there. See you at 1000pm EDT!
EDIT by Leftos: Here's the footage solovoy posted in the other thread.Flash

I came here to say that. Not really mad now because the ASW ain't gonna be in PC.
The game looked good. I liked the way Manu attacked the basket.

LOL did he say a big "thank you" to fans or a big "fuck you" to fans?
Tue Jun 05, 2012 2:06 pm
It was thank you sadly. Plus when asked what the fans have asked for he said "more of the same"

flat out

Full segment.
Gameplay footage looks OK, not too different to NBA 2K12 but it's an early build and it's hard to judge subtle difference in control responsiveness and the like without actually playing the game. The approach to the dunk contest is creative, I'll give them that, but I don't know that it was the right way to go. I'll be playing on PC so I'll miss out anyway, but I think I would've preferred something similar to what we've previously seen in NBA 2K and NBA Live.

Guys, is it confirmed that no ASW in PC?

Yes, and I don't know if that is bad or good.
Rusell Westbrook and Kendrick Perkins same speed in 0:37. That didn't look good.

It would still be nice to have a feature like that across all platforms, but the reveal of the Guitar Hero-like controls softens the blow a bit. I do own a few Guitar Hero games as well as The Beatles: Rock Band and they're fun party games, I've got no problem with the concept for that genre. I'm not big on the idea for a basketball sim though, even for the dunk contest. If nothing else it seems like it would feel very pre-determined after a while; when you can move around and have to pull off the combos in real time, there's a feeling of creativity there.

Dude, that guy seems very out of touch!

It needs TNT integration. No new game engine, just the same with the previous 2K games. Lame. Differentiating it with Live, I think Live is doing it top notch.

They pretty much have TNT presentation, just without the official branding; perhaps the cost of the license doesn't gel with the suits. There's a lot of stuff that developers would like to do but it's not always feasible for one reason or another.

I like how Ginobili was being bumped and denied a drive by Harden for so long, but when the shot clock got close to expiring, he started a layup animation from almost the 3-point line which completely negated any defense. Unbeatable animations all over again.
Sure, it was a very short clip, but I failed to see any improvements here.
edit: forgot about the SDC controls... not so mad anymore that PC version doesn't get it.

You'd think they'd use the sticks more as a key control in dunk contests
Wed Jun 06, 2012 12:24 am
I'm going with "you'd think they'd actually use a clip of gameplay that doesn't have these obvious faults. A clip that showcases something actually exciting."
But Mike Wang has went ahead and said not to pay this footage much attention, since it's a really early build and that we'll be excited by the progress they've had with the gameplay this year. I guess we'll have to wait.
Still, don't hype a video so much and tell us that it doesn't matter. If the gameplay is actually different than that, why disappoint everyone?
EDIT: The "guitar hero" mechanic for the slam dunk contest is ridiculous. The previous dunk contest mechanics were hard to master, this much is true, but it was immensely satisfying when you managed to pull-off an impressive dunk. This seems like more of a mini-game than anything. Is the skills challenge going to have the player on rails and have quick-time events for the passes?
Makes me feel better for (not) missing out on the ASW content.

Well put.

They should have just posted some pics instead of posting those videos ...

The hardcore fans are pretty excited about playing Guitar Hero and having no other control whatsoever over what their player does in the Slam Dunk Contest.
Because that's what the hardcore fans want.
Hardcore.
Hardcore.
Haaaaardcooooooore.
Want to say hardcore with me?
HAAAAAARDCOOOOOOORE.
