But now I think the Signature Skill icons will do an even better job.

True, though ratings such as Dunking needn't have the same weight as shooting or rebounding ratings. A player's ability to dunk, their frequency of dunking and the creativity of their dunks shouldn't carry too much weight when calculating the overall. It should arguably be the same for all athletic ratings, as they're not a skill per se. At the end of the day, the importance of overall ratings is somewhat overblown and they usually coming out looking accurate enough, so there is way too much fuss over them. That said, they could be calculated a little better to account for the situations I mentioned before.

Austin River 67? I like that. I think he will be a poor man's Jamal Crawford in his prime.

I 100% agree. Very glad to see Rivers' not get overrated, and i see him becoming exactly that kind of player in the NBA.

Updated the first post.

I thought Amar'e's overall would work out to be a little higher than that. I'm guessing his rebounding and durability ratings might have pulled it down some.

Ronnie 2K 2K13 ‏@Ronnie2K

BTW, on the livestream at PAX I misspoke about Grant Hill's rating. It's a 77 #NBA2K13. Fair or foul?

77 seems high for a 53 year old.

Why does Ronnie need to correct himself when most people know he's a moron. He didn't need to.

Granger is NOT as good as Amare Stoudemire.

And as much as I love Grant Hill, his rating is way too high.

As a Suns fan, I'm shaking my head looking at Nash's rating. When he was 36 years old and led us to the WCF he was 81. Now he's 38, but since he's with the Lakers, he gets an 87.

For what it's worth, he was rated 84 overall in the official rosters last year. It's possible that with the new signature skills, his ratings have received a bit of a boost, which I'm sure would've still happened had he remained with the Suns.

Since Kobe's already revealed to be 93 overall, that would mean Howard would have to be a 94 overall. I'm going to say probably not, I expect he'll be around the 90 mark though.

Sig skills were supposed to be independent of ratings though. IMO, its just LD2K bias. Just like how in 2K11 they defaulted the Celtics into a rebuilding phase, so when the CPU controlled them they blew up the big three nearly every Association. Conspiracies I tell ya.
- Selling: This is a team whose window has closed and they are clearly trying to move their aging/bad contracts for youth/picks. It’s not common for a team to be in this state long in our game, or in the real NBA. When it happens though, it’s best to strike while the iron is hot. When you think Selling team, think what the Wizards did last season or what the Celtics and Spurs will be doing in approximately 12-24 months from now. Sorry Celtics and Spurs fans. Reality is coming soon…
Opinions are my own.

I'm glad somebody else noticed that about Nash's rating...he was n 84 all last season and since he's a laker now I guess that makes him better?! Lol....and to the rondo haters he deserves that 90....he does everything a PG is suppose to do...I feel like people get caught up in thinking that since he's a guard her suppose to average 20....he's a PG not a SG...big difference
