Amazon Typo?

benji, I realize that. No further updates on the issue from Ronnie2K or LD2k yet.

Last year it appeared on Steam around 6 PM in Portugal, 1 PM Eastern, 10 AM Pacific, 8 PM Greece

Dreadnight, sounds about right. Damn that was a long night. Didn't turn off the PC until I finished all of Training Camp. Damn excitement wouldn't let me sleep.

I was disappointed pretty soon after that though.

So there's no way Amazon reverts it back on 2nd? Still got my preorder there..

xerion, according to Amazon's CC, the date push back was done on purpose. Ronnie2K and LD2k have seemingly no idea on why this happened, so it's (probably?) not 2K's fault, and not a digital distributor-wide instruction by 2K, so other DDs should have it at the usual time.

Unless all DDs were pushed back 2 weeks for whatever reason, your safest bet is Steam, October 2, at the hours posted a few posts above.

Im just seeing this thread(and news). So while it might be too late, I went ahead and asked someone I know @ 2K. Hopefully he gets back to me with some good news.

edit: Emailed me back saying hes gonna check for me -- Hopefully that won't take too long.

Well, its not with all PC versions, as my disc copy from Amazon is en route.

hate because I will probably wake up tomorrow and drive an hour away to the nearest store and get a copy at open.....though I really need to try and wait for Steam...

The lack of any response from 2K after both Ronnie and LD2k mentioned they were looking into what happened with Amazon makes me curious.

I was going to buy the download even though it meant I couldn't sell it used next year. I'll wait for the box in the store and buy that.

That's the problem though. Most stores don't carry the game on the shelf in the store anymore, like Best Buy, you have to preorder it or go DD.

Really? That's a pain. It's still common to see the game on the shelf here, even 12 months after it comes out.

The only PC versions I've seen in stores were the ones leaving with me.

The only time I bought retail was 2K9. I bought the only copy at GameStop. And I was angry because it required Steam but I couldn't BUY IT ON STEAM.

I would have gladly pre-ordered nba 2k13 without knowing a single detail about year before its release date . Things like this (not having a pre-order option, delaying DD's, shitty online mode, castrated versions of games for pc users and so on) annoy the hell out of me. I have bought original copy of each and every NBA 2k game that has come out on PC, however due to fuckups like the ones I mentioned right above, in two instances I have thanked god for piracy!

I've heard nothing back from him yet. Though I don't blame him because hes on vacation(lol). I'm going to call gamestops around here and see if any of them have a PC copy that will be available at midnight.

The game absolutely activates on Steam, we won't even be distributing a build, only a Steam Key. Go tell your NBA loving friends to come pre-order the game!

This got pushed back to at least 10/16.
