I just checked Nash's shot location stats and holy crap, afaik he's the only player last season to get .500 or more eFG% for each area on the court.

It just goes to show - overall ratings just come down to people's own personal opinion/perspective. No way 2k can please everybody. Everybody should just go through their own rosters when they get the game and make them "accurate".

Rondo should have got at least 92.

D. Howard – 96, C. Bosh - 83, R. Hibbert - 86.
Tue Sep 18, 2012 9:40 am
Whoa, so much for my prediction that Howard would be rated lower than Kobe. I don't know about Hibbert ending up with a higher overall than Bosh either, that sounds to me like Bosh is underrated in a few areas while a few of Hibbert's ratings are a bit too generous.
Meanwhile, NBA Sky have
revealed a lot of ratings, though Howard and Hibbert's ratings notably differ from the information just released, so it's quite possible that their info is outdated.

Bosh just suffered the Dirk effect in 2K that goes toward calculating the overall rating. Hibbert's rebound and block rating alone would increase the calculation of his overall rating for a PF/C as compared to Bosh who's a better offensive player but takes a hit with the overall because of his playing style that is unlike a traditional PF/C.

Good point. Also, looks like NBA Sky removed that article.

86 is a little high for a guy who put up 13, 9, and 2 last year.
Tue Sep 18, 2012 10:50 am
Per 36.

i think dwight is a bit overrated.
he should be on 90 to 94 only.
Tue Sep 18, 2012 1:43 pm
Yeh Roy and Dwight seem overrated. Maybe they have a signature skill like defensive anchor that heavily increases their overall or something.

Seems they're now revealing six per every 1000 followers as the release date draws nearer.
Devin Harris: 77 overall
Ray Allen: 80 overall
Marshon Brooks: 73 overall
Paul Pierce: 83 overall
Caron Butler: 81 overall
Zach Randolph: 84 overall

It is pretty sad almost zero information about the Blazers which includes screenshots, ratings, anything is out there regarding 2k13.
Wed Sep 19, 2012 1:45 pm
It's been posted before. Considering some of the ratings revealed there have been contradicted by recent Tweets from 2K, it's a safe bet that a few more of them are also outdated at this point.

Latest:
Lamar Odom: 71 overall
Al Jefferson: 84 overall
Dirk Nowitzki: 85 overall
Luke Walton: 66 overall
Nick Young: 72 overall
Jason Terry: 77 overall

Wow Luke Walton is generously rated!

Lamar Odom looks like he might be a little underrated in a few areas. I suppose it's appropriate given his very poor showing with the Mavericks last season but I doubt his skills have entirely disappeared. It's a tricky situation, you've got to account for last season's performance but in rating a player in those circumstances I think you also need to strike a balance between that performance and the abilities he's shown that he possesses, perhaps taking into account his performance the year before if there are extenuating circumstances.
Thu Sep 20, 2012 8:14 pm
Odom's rating being based alone on his showing last season is just fine.
The way current roster updates are released regularly for today's games (2K/Live?) that it can be changed easily if he does go back to his old self.
Unlike a decade or years ago where roster updates only come along with the patch that's been only released months after the release date or no roster update at all.

I'd say the 71 is probably a balance as it is, because if you were going off solely last season he'd be a 67 at best.
Fri Sep 21, 2012 10:36 am
I guess. shadowgrin is right too, post-release roster updates will amend his ratings if his performance this season warrants it.
Tue Sep 25, 2012 8:52 am
Six more.
LaMarcus Aldridge: 86 overall
Damian Lillard: 70 overall
Stephen Curry: 83 overall
DeAndre Jordan: 73 overall
Al Jefferson: 84 overall
Kris Humphries: 75 overall
Tue Sep 25, 2012 9:52 am
