PA not calling Created Players Name

Sun Nov 25, 2012 5:38 pm

So I created this PG and named him the Bulldozer (Not MyPLAYER,I created this one from the Roster menu),and took the #39 jersey. The problem is that whenever I score with this guy,be it a home or an away game, the Public Announcer does not say "The Bulldozer".He says "Numbeeeerrrrr 39".I am not quite liking this.Has anyone else got this problem? If so,does anyone know the fix for this?
PS- In MyCAREER,the MyPLAYER's name is called out by the PA,only in home games. In away games, its the Number 39 crap again.Again,is this a problem specific to me?
Help will be greatly appreciated.

Pretty sure that's just the way it is.

I have a different experience, I am as name suggests "Dondi White" with tag "Little general".

All ads, and talk via commentators about me (my last game performance) use "Little general" when I am subbed or come on the the court they refer to me as "white" and also the P.A if I get free throws always says "white". So luckily surname must be in the database for existing player for game to use, becuase it picks up on surname than my name tag more, esp the P.A.

I would imagine all PA audio might be missing some names (or bug).

the PA will only call your players name if it is something that is programmed in the database. my guys name is Cameron Norman... both names being recognized so the PA says my whole name, though with a pretty long pause between my names. the announcers either call me Norman or by my nickname. it just depends on what you name ur player. hell, even with pregame introduction and the lineup announcements thruout the game, my guy is mentioned. which is a first, cuz all other 2k games would call the real players on the court. so if you had all rookies or created players and one real player then only the real player would be called as on the floor. now they say my players name as well.

zones I dont want MY name called.I want my nickname called.like the MYCAREER games.
Andrew But the MYCAREER player's name is called at least in Home games. The Created player is never called by nickname.
DondiWhiteThere's no way I would get my real name called. But I was still hoping for the nickname to be called out.
But anyway, thanks for the replies guys.

ok yea, i did read that lol. sorry for the confusion, but its
because the PA doesnt use your nickname... i dont think.
from what iv noticed of all the 2k games, the PA doesnt
call any created player by nickname. thats only
the game announcers. iv never heard the PA call a
nickname, only real name or number. the nickname is only
used by the different game announcers when talking about you.

note ---

iv never used a MyPlayer file whos name wasnt known though so
i cant say iv seen it work in MP mode however. but im almost positive
that the PA doesnt call you by nickname in any other mode.

Any ideas where I can find the audio database for PC?
