Using Existing Myplayer Account on New PC

Sat Jan 05, 2013 12:13 pm

SO I decided to purchase the game while I was on holiday and installed it on my laptop I had with me. I purchased the game via Steam incase that is important.

Now that I am back from vacation I want to install the game on my Desktop and have done that, but when I try to log into my myplayer account it says the account does not exist, but when I try to make a new one it won't let me use my CD key as that has already been used. Do I need to uninstall from my laptop first?

I'm guessing that'll just result in you being unable to use the account on your laptop as well. I'd contact 2K Support about it.

I installed windows 8 and i would not let me log in anymore. You have to go to http://support.2k.com/home send them proof of purchasing then they will delet your old account i believe and send you a new key. Hope this helps

Thanks for the help guys. In the meantime I have simply been saying I was born on 1/1/12 and hence am too young to have a 2k account and then the game just starts as usual, without online play of course unfortunately.

So just to clarify, should I contact 2k support of Steam support since it was purchased through Steam? I assume it is not really a Steam issue.

Steam support will just tell you to contact 2K.

After a few weeks wait.
