Players won't switch

Hey. I just tried playing a quick game against a friend of mine.
Well. As it says I tried.
The game started and we were both stuck with one player. Player wouldn't switch under any circumstances. I tried every single button. Every other player except of one is CPU-played. Did I fuck up something? I looked through ALL options but didn't find a solution.. did I fuck something up? Because normally the players will switch to the one with the ball in the offense or you can switch players in the defense by pressing A. At least I thought so.

Make sure that you don't have a preferred position set under your controller configuration.
