What does Vsync and Anti-Aliasing settings do? Are they necessary? You are playing with or without them?

v-sync prevents screen tearing that can happen from your FPS changing from high to low, back and forth.

AA smooths the graphics out. notice all those jaggies around the bodies and jerseys? yea use AA to get rid of those. but it does effect your FPS(if you have a bad comp that is)

So the conclusion is that v-sync is not necessary to use and AA can be used to get better graphics, yes?

Anti aliasing gets rid of the jagged edges for better picture at the cost of performance. If you can't run the game over 60 fps constantly, there is no reason to run v sync because it will drop the frame rate to 30 when it can't sync the frame unless you force triple buffer with another program.
