Can someone please answer these two questions for me:

1. Is anyone able to get online now? And if so how?

2. Is there any way I can get my player to be on an official NBA any play quick games with him and not just use him in MyCareer?

2. of course! this option is out there since the begining of sports games.
jut go to options>manage roster>create>player,
create him there and at the end it asks you if you want to assign him to a team . say yes and pick one.
you can always go to free agents pool too, click on him and press assign
