noob question regarding signature skills

hi, if i happen to buy 5 signature skill and put it onto mycarerr... do they automatically get used .. or i gotta sumhow activate them in game? (if so, how do i activate 1 of the 5?)

They'll be activated in the appropriate situations/when the necessary criteria is met. See here for a rundown:

you also have to assign it to your player first.

I think you can do this through Edit Player.

This is how it works

Buy them in 'Player Upgrades'
Assign them in 'Equip upgrades'

In game, press UP in the d-pad and you will see your signature skills in the upper left corner. When one is activated, it will be highlated.
Like for example if you are using dead eye you will see that when you are taking a shot and a defender is trying to put pressure on you 'cause he is arriving too late to block you, you will see the Dead eye sign highlated.

ive been using acrobat + finisher and none of them seem activated.. and i never finished any contact layups :{

How good are your attributes? Because the signature skills doesn't MAKE shots happen, it makes your odds better depending on the level of the signature skill (there's 3 levels in some signature skills) and your attribute. Finisher is indeed for making contact lay ups, but you gotta get fouled I think, otherwise I think it doesn't trigger. And acrobat is for changing shots, like changing hands when laying it up or stuff like that.

I understand where you are coming from, because I noticed that a very little porcentage of contested lay ups go in. But that's just the game
