NBA 2K13 Stat Engine?

Postby Ridefors on Thu Oct 04, 2012 7:06 pm

Hello!

I almost only play the associaton mode:

Well, I am a person who actually simulate more than I play. I really like being just a GM and producing winning teams, new superstars and so on. However, the stat engines in 2K11 and 2K12 were really, really bad. The league leader in minutes averaged 36 minutes per game, the league leader in fg % averaged about 55 or something, the league leader in assist could average about 10, the league leader in blocks could at his best average 2.5 blocks per season and the league leader in rebounds usually averaged 12 rebounds per game or something. This is shit. Seriously, I want to be able to create a Dennis Rodman type of player who averages 19 rebounds per game, or a Manute Bol player who averages more blocks than points per game.

Is this possible in 2K13 or did they screw it up again?

It was not my purpose to bump my own tread. Actually, I just figured out that the only reason you didn't answer me was because the Stat Engine hasn't been updated. I saw an association video where Anthony Davis was the DPOTY while averaging 9.9 rpg and 2.0 bpg. Seriously, that is a BULLSHIT stat engine.

You make a good point. I would really like to see sliders for simulated stats that allow you to assign maximum values or maybe a curved graph that you can skew to a high stat at the maximum point for those freakish players.

I've wanted that for years now! I don't understand why they can't fix this.

Ridefors every year I create a max height, max rebound, max jump ability center and sim to see if he will average 20+ RPG. Most sims with this type of player he doesn't even lead the league in rebounds.
