MyTEAM, Shoes have Dev Videos coming up

As we close in to NBA 2K13's release, the seemingly final pieces of pre-release information that we'll get seem to have gotten approved.

nice. would love to hear news about shoes. this would make me decide if i will continue patching/making shoes for 2K13! I heard 2K13 will be using of 512x512 resolution for the shoes. I just hope that the 1024x1024 template we had for 2K12 will still be compatible with 2K13.

We won't know how much water any such rumors hold until October 2 when we get our hands on the game, but the Shoe Creator and all the customization it supposedly offers in-game, will maybe alleviate the need for Photoshop/GIMP for much of the work required for creating new shoes.

45 layers should be more than enough, I presume.

MyTeam being only online pretty much makes it worthless for PC users, unless that Senior Online Producer they got actually paid the PC some attention. Yeah, right.

After watching that video I think MyTEAM sold me on getting 2K13. I remember thinking last year how I wished 2K12 had something like Madden's Ultimate Team mode, and here it is.

At 3:41 in the video Monta Ellis costs more than Durant, Wade, and D-Will?!

So are those twelve games to get the eighth seed against the computer, or random people online?... EDIT: Never mind. Online only game mode, except for the exhibition games incase anyone else is wondering.

Not really my kind of mode, but it does sound pretty cool all the same. Hopefully they do release an Association Insight.

That's what I kind of thought too. That's why this mode will probably take most of the time I would've spent on an association(s), because you get to play against other people and it's something new and different.

They should've at least did exhibition games that you can play against your friends, just to show each other your teams as an added incentive for bragging rights. It's simple stuff like this that they leave out of the game that's a head scratcher. Do they just not have the time, are lazy or can't fit it all into one game?

Another negative could be if they take the EA route and allow you to buy packs with actual money or Microsoft Points. That could easily take the fun out of it. It would no longer be about who has more skill or puts more time and effort in, but instead about who's willing to spend the most money. This would be a bigger blow than not being able to play against friends.

I doubt that MyTeam mode will be in PC version since 2ksports.com doesn't say anything about it in their 2K13 new Game Features (see PC column).

Anyone can confirm that this isn't true? I hope I'm totally wrong..

I believe that's been confirmed in one of the previews

Virtual Currency, which you can use to “purchase” a ton of different items, from insanely customizable sneakers (see two bullet points down) to off-court clothing to accessories to on-court Signature Skills to plenty more. You earn that currency through advancing in the different game modes in basically any way, but you may also purchase that in-game currency with real-life scrilla, for those of you with some money to burn who want to get ahead in the NBA 2K world.

Way to take the fun out of it 2K. Hopefully it doesn't give those willing to spend the money too much of an advantage, although it probably will at first. It should almost only be the people who spend the money vs the other people who spend it, and then the non-spenders vs non-spenders.

Is VC used to upgrade your MyPlayer's attributes, because can't people then make their guy good just by paying for it?
