Talk about NBA 2K13 here.
Sat Jun 30, 2012 8:57 am
This thread is here to allow everyone to post minor NBA 2K13 news that don't deserve their own thread.
For a nice first example, here's this.
NBA prospects predict their '2K' ratingsESPN ran a small article, asking 5 NBA draftees what they think their rating should be like in 2K13.
Harrison Barnes: If they put me at a 60 … 62, I would be happy with that because some starters are a 62. And if they give me some good bounce, I would be happy with that.
Thomas Robinson: I want to push for mid-70s or close to 80.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: Probably like 85.
Austin Rivers: Well, I just went out to San Francisco for the 2K thing, so considering I did that … I hope it’s a good rating. I’m aiming for high 70s and then work my way up.
Tyler Zeller: I actually don’t play it, so I don’t know what a good rating is. Let's say 70.
Let's just say that Barnes is the only one being reasonable, if you ask me.
They did ask them other stuff too, including whether they believe in unicorns, and if they like their cotton candy fluffy. But that's
a whole other article.

Sounds like Rivers thinks he suck up to 2K for his rating but I agree Barnes sounds the most reasonable and maybe Zeller.

This is interesting.

MKG was always a humble player at UK, I'm surprised by his "Probably like 85" answer ha. I'm guessing he doesn't play the game either.

Tonight 2K Sports and NBA 2K13 will be streaming a live interview with Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant and Los Angeles Clippers’ Blake Griffin from 7:45-8:45 P.M. PT from Las Vegas, site of the commercial shoot for this year’s title. During their NBA 2K13 production day, these two superstars will take a break from shooting to talk to Ronnie2K and answer user submitted questions from fans about all things related to NBA 2K.
Event coverage can be viewed live tonight at
http://www.facebook.com/NBA2K, where user questions can be submitted throughout the live stream.
Ronnie has stated he'll try to capture some NBA 2K13 gameplay, during the interviews.
So, Ronnie will
try to capture some NBA 2K13 gameplay. Their senior social media citizen will
try to capture some NBA 2K13 gameplay.
Try.
Try.
Yeah. Right.
If 2K wants to show footage, they'll show footage. They're just trying to get people who don't give a shit about Durant or Griffin to watch the video.
Come on. Be clear about it. Either you're going to show footage through your employee, or you won't. It's not like he's a fan going up to an event and will
try to catch some footage on his camera.

Yeah, I'd say that's a fair assessment.

well, it's delayed because of other interviews, but it will be here -

Why are there so many dump people in there chat room?
Wed Jul 11, 2012 1:47 pm
I just ignore the chat
we already saw the interview with Durant, who is evidently a "2K Head" and is a 95 OVR in 2K13, but will change due to living rosters
evidently we were going to see the game right now/next before the blake interview, but its just been sitting for a while
Wed Jul 11, 2012 2:16 pm
footage from a photoshoot and commercial shoot, Blake is 87 OVR (we care)
Blake just said Celebrity game is a part of the ASW pre-order from the commercial shoot
Wed Jul 11, 2012 2:22 pm
I guess that's why Ronnie reached out to those various celebrities.
Wed Jul 11, 2012 2:24 pm
bah, he kept saying "footage" the entire time, but its just commercial and photoshoot stuff, waste of time.
The Celebrity game thing was received with a "shocked" quietness, could be legit, could be him just talking, but you're right, it makes sense.
Wed Jul 11, 2012 3:00 pm
That could be a surprise, along with the skills challenge, which Blake also mentioned. However, he did say something about the 3pt competition and his self, so he could have been joking with those two corny things that were talking to him.
Thu Jul 12, 2012 12:08 pm
It seems like something they'd have specifically mentioned before now, but perhaps it's just meant to be a small bonus/easter egg. It at least seems plausible given their involvement with various celebrities in recent months.

If KD got 95, that means Bron at least 97?
Thu Jul 12, 2012 10:02 pm
I'd guess a 97 or 98, yeah.
