2K Sports launches Community Weekly Update blog

2K Sports is now on Tumblr with a weekly Community Update blog, the first post of which is by Chris "LD2k" Manning. He goes over E3 and writes some stuff about 2K13. Nothing new, but nevertheless a good summary of almost everything regarding NBA 2K13 at E3.

P.S. The way he capitalizes FUN twice (in the same sentence, mind you) when talking about the "waterfall" (seriously?!) controls, makes me think 2K really want to justify this ridiculous "feature", somehow.

Post #2 (last week) was about #UncoverNBA2K. Post #3 is about the cover, spending 2 paragraphs describing each hint. Hey, it's his job, isn't it?

Nothing new to come out of either these posts, except the new dedicated twitter account @NBA2KOnline which was set-up so that the Online dev team of NBA 2K can listen to the hate, whining and rightful complaints of the fans regarding the horrible experience that 2K calls Online. @Ronnie2K is most likely relieved.

A bit disappointing, but presumably there will be meatier updates in the future, when they start talking in-depth about the game.

Still early days, so this week's Community Update doesn't have anything too juicy. It mentions some opportunities to ask the cover players questions, provides some links to all of Ronnie 2K's E3 2012 interviews and makes mention the Dynasty Edition.

I know. I feel that this blog is more of a "what happened last week" blog. Won't be expecting any surprises to come out of there first.

Once they do start talking about features, gameplay and the like, it'll probably be a bit more informative (or at the very least, a handy recap of the week's news). We're still basically in the "hype" stage right now.

We are right on the cusp of getting some information. News usually starts around mid-July, picks up in august and by September the final information gets released and we get to ponder it all and anticipate the game release in October.
