Question regarding rosterfiles

In the rosterfiles that you can download from wherever in the internet there are players that are not available for playing unless you use redmc to reactivate them. I successfully did this on players like Gilbert Arenas, Josh Howard and Chris Wright. Now my question: How do i get their carreer stats back? New scores are recorded nontheless but the old stats from previous seasons do not appear. Can someone please help me? By the way the same problem exists in previous versons from NBA 2K
